Interested in Author Events at Your School?
Meeting published authors and illustrators makes books come alive for children. We bring dozens of authors and illustrators to local schools throughout the school year. Be aware that some visits are complimentary and others involve paying an honorarium to the author, but all events provide an opportunity to raise money for your school or organization through book sales. Authors’ schedules fill up quickly so contact Vickie soon to find out about hosting an author or illustrator this year at firstname.lastname@example.org or 610-642-6274.
We offer several ways for your school or organization to raise money with a book fair: On-Site Book Fairs, In-Store Book Fairs and Supplemental Book Fairs.

Looking for a great way to encourage literacy while raising funds for your school? Children’s Book World provides book talks to students of all ages, and a percentage of every book sold goes back to your school! If your school would like to schedule an event, or would like information about book talks, please email us at email@example.com or call at 610-642-6274.

Summer Reading Resources
As a resource for families in our community we will be compiling schools’ required reading lists with easy to use links to the books on Bookshop.org
If you would like us to check the availability of titles on your required summer reading lists, please send us the lists as soon as possible.
View our Summer Reading page for Students and their Families.
Read and Review
Our summer reading program allows children to borrow Advanced Copies of books that will be released in the fall. Books can be kept for up to two weeks. Each child that returns a review with their borrowed book will receive $1 store credit that can be redeemed at the end of the summer. All children are welcome to participate. Books are geared to ages 8-high school. Complete details are available in our store.
Educator Mailing List
In order to better serve members of the educational community we send out educator-only emails to let you when we are running special programs just for educators, when we are looking for schools to accommodate visiting authors, and when we have information and giveaways that might be useful for use in your classrooms or libraries. If you would like to receive these emails please let us know and we will include you on our educators list.
Just What You Need
Teachers, what if you could use part of an in-service day or a late afternoon to come to Children’s Book World and let us help you find books to support your specific curriculum. Do you need more non-fiction? More varied levels of a specific genre? High interest/low reading-level books? A great new read-aloud? Books for emotional and social growth? We’d love to show you books that are geared to just what you’re looking for. Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know how we can help you.
